Mialab Policies

At Mialab, we believe in keeping things clear and simple so you always know what to expect. Here’s a quick overview of our key policies:

Payments

  • Accounts need to stay current to qualify for special pricing and rebates.
  • Balances overdue 30+ days may be subject to a service charge.
  • Returned checks incur a $50 fee.

Credits & Warranties

  • Returns must be made within 60 days.
  • All credits require the remake to be processed by Mialab.
  • Most lenses and frames include a 1-year warranty (no questions asked).
  • Premium coatings and special digital lenses may carry up to 2 years of warranty.

Orders

  • Orders placed before 2:00 p.m. EST may qualify for same-day shipping (restrictions apply).
  • Once an order is in process, it cannot be cancelled.
  • Rx changes or errors after processing may incur remake charges.
  • If a patient cannot adapt to progressive lenses, we’ll remake them into single vision or bifocals at no cost (within 60 days).

Frames & Lenses

  • Patient’s own frames are processed at their own risk.
  • Rimless frames have specific warranty coverage depending on the lens material.
  • Applying AR coatings voids manufacturer warranties, but our Matrix AR coatings carry 1–2 years of coverage.

Returns & Shipping

  • Returns require a return authorization (RA) number.
  • Special orders are non-returnable.
  • A 20% restocking fee applies to some items.
  • Please include a packing slip with all shipments.
