In this stage, we undertake the process of shaping the lenses to their final form and seamlessly inserting them into the frames. To achieve precise results, we employ a frame tracer equipped with a metal stylus. This stylus accurately traces the inner contours of the frame, generating a digital image that serves as a blueprint for the edging machinery. This enables us to cut the lenses to the exact shape required to fit seamlessly into the frame.
At Mialab, we handle a diverse range of order types, including rimless, metal, and plastic frame orders, among others. Our capabilities extend to accommodating various frame styles and designs, ensuring a comprehensive service to meet customer needs. To facilitate proper alignment of the lens within the machinery, a plastic block is affixed to the front surface of the lens. This block is securely held in place by a double-adhesive blocking pad. By projecting an image of the frame shape, the blocking process assists operators in aligning the lens accurately.
To execute the cutting process, we employ the MEI Bisphera, a highly efficient device designed to precisely shape the lenses according to their specific requirements. Capable of edging up to one pair of lenses per minute, the MEI Bisphera-XDD stands out as one of the fastest edgers available, ensuring timely completion of orders without compromising quality.
